Aluminum Sheet For Cookware

2024-09-20

0.4 - 5.0mm aluminum sheet for cookware is the most widely used aluminum alloy products in kitchen cooking utensils, when it is used in kitchen appliances, the requirements for product quality and process are also more stringent, testing the aluminum sheet manufacturing enterprises to control the process and quality of the firm. Aluminum industry production of aluminum sheet, aluminum circle sheet products, specifications are complete, in addition to the conventional size, can provide 0.3 - 6mm aluminum sheet, the products are in line with RoHS and REACH environmental standards.

aluminum sheet for cookware

Aluminum sheet that can be used to make cookware are mainly as follows:

- 1060 aluminum sheet:
Performance advantages: high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical and thermal conductivity, good elongation as well as tensile strength, able to meet the conventional processing requirements (such as stamping, stretching), high formability.
Quality Requirements: Aluminum sheet should be free from obvious defects such as cracks, peeling, inclusions, bubbles, corrosion, indentation marks and scratches, and the surface should be clean, smooth and free from oil spots, scratches, dents, waves, pockmarks, indentation marks and other defects.

- 1100 aluminum sheet:
Performance advantages: excellent ductility, formability, weldability and corrosion resistance; anodizing can further improve corrosion resistance while obtaining a beautiful surface.
Quality requirements: similar to 1060 aluminum sheet, should ensure that no defects, clean surface, flat.

- 3004 aluminum sheet:
Performance advantages: belongs to aluminum-manganese alloy, higher strength than 3003 aluminum sheet, excellent formability, good corrosion resistance. Cannot be heat-treated to strengthen, but mechanical properties can be improved by cold working methods.
Quality requirements: need to meet the food grade material standards, corrosion resistance, safe for food contact. The surface should be flat and free of defects to ensure that no harmful substances are introduced during processing.

The thickness standard of aluminum sheet for cookware products is usually:
- 1.5mm: commonly used for making light cookware, such as pans and frying pans.
- 2.0mm: applicable to ordinary stewing pots, steamers, etc.
- 2.5mm: suitable for large stew pots, soup pots, etc.

Common aluminum cookware includes:
- Aluminum pots and pans: for stir-frying, cooking soups, etc.
Aluminum baking pans and bakeware: for baking and roasting food.
Aluminum utensils: such as plates, bowls, etc.
Aluminum food storage containers: for preserving food.

Quality requirements of aluminum sheet for cookware are:
- Material purity and composition: ensure that the alloy composition meets the standard and is free of impurities.
- Mechanical properties: to meet the required tensile strength, elongation and other mechanical properties indicators.
- Surface quality: no cracks, peeling, scratches, dents and other defects, clean and flat surface.
- Corrosion resistance: good corrosion resistance, especially in contact with food and cleaning agents.
- Safety: need to comply with food safety standards to ensure that no harmful substances are released into food.

Please note that aluminum sheet for cookware from different manufacturers and brands may vary in composition, performance and thickness, so they should be selected according to specific needs and product specifications in actual applications.
